Introducing the Rega Naia turntable, a culmination of meticulous development that stems from the renowned 'Naiad' test bed turntable. Years of dedication have led to the creation of the Naia, incorporating the best elements of Rega's groundbreaking technology without compromise. This turntable is a testament to Rega's commitment to pushing the boundaries of vinyl replay.

At its core, the Naia employs Rega's pioneering low mass high rigidity plinth technology, taking it to the next level with a Graphene impregnated carbon fibre skeletal plinth featuring a Tancast 8 foam core. This ultra-rigid structure is further reinforced by two ceramic aluminum oxide braces, mirroring the material used in the redesigned resonance-controlled ceramic platter. The platter boasts an improved flywheel effect and a complex profile for enhanced performance.

The RB Titanium tonearm stands as the pinnacle of precision and advancement among our production tonearms. Meticulously designed for minimal mechanical joints and utilizing the stiffest materials in critical areas, this tonearm achieves near-frictionless movement both horizontally and vertically, ensuring no measurable free play in the bearing assemblies.

Featuring a one-piece titanium vertical bearing housing and titanium vertical spindle assembly, the RB Titanium pairs seamlessly with the recommended Rega Aphelion 2 MC. The unique hand-polished aluminum single-piece arm tube keeps mass to a minimum. To strike the perfect balance between low mass and extreme rigidity, Rega pioneers the use of graphene impregnated carbon and a Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core—materials renowned in the aerospace industry.

The foam core's lightweight, random structure minimizes vibration transmission, while the skin's stiffness prevents microscopic movement of the plinth during playback. The addition of graphene enhances the strength, creating the sturdiest production plinth ever produced by Rega.

The Naia features a custom aluminum sub-platter with a spindle and central bearing crafted from ZTA (zirconium toughened alumina). Originally developed for larger machines in the paper industry, ZTA offers superior resistance to abrasion, ensuring longevity. The manufacturing process involves precision steps, from powder preparation to isostatic pressing, firing at 1600 °C, and final honing.

ZTA's exceptional hardness and resistance to wear, combined with an ultra-thin layer of fully synthetic oil, result in the hardest, most accurate, and longest-lasting bearing assembly ever produced by Rega.

The NAIA reference power supply ensures ultimate motor control stability, electronic speed change, advanced anti-vibration control, and user-adjustable electronic fine speed adjustment. Housed in Rega's latest custom-designed case, the reference PSU dedicates itself to running the 24v, low-noise motor with utmost precision, achieved through a DSP generator and factory-set vibration removal.

Rega's three-year research and development efforts have led to a bespoke rubber compound for drive belts, ensuring superior consistency of modulus. These belts, manufactured with precision tools inspired by Formula 1 engine parts, provide 'perfectly round' and 'dimensionally accurate' belts critical for impeccable speed stability.

The super-lightweight plinth, combined with a ceramic top and bottom brace strategically placed for increased rigidity, forms a structurally sound "stressed beam" assembly. This design prevents energy absorption and unwanted resonances, ensuring the tonearm and cartridge can accurately read from the platter, guaranteeing maximum detail retrieval. The use of braces instead of the complete skin allows increased thickness in crucial areas, further reducing plinth weight and addressing issues of mass absorption and unwanted energy transmission.
