Building upon the groundbreaking technology of the original Aphelion and the latest Apheta 3, our engineers have taken every aspect of the design to new heights, fine-tuning each detail for unparalleled performance.

At the forefront of micro engineering and design, the Aphelion 2 boasts a unique hand-wound micro cross and coil assembly directly mounted onto a Boron rod cantilever. The advanced 'fine line' profile nude diamond stylus, mounted through 90 degrees, offers exceptional stiffness and control over the stylus, requiring a 'zero tolerance' approach to engineering to achieve the highest level of performance to date from a Rega cartridge. Designed to complement Rega's reference range of turntables, including the prestigious Naiad.

Rega's Moving Coil cartridge design is distinguished by its approach to achieving an ultra-low mass generator, undamped and utilizing a unique rhomboid pivot for the cantilever powered by an exclusive Neodymium magnet system. This design necessitates a meticulously engineered cartridge body, machined from a single piece of high-quality aluminum, requiring Rega's years of expertise to achieve. The Aphelion 2 eschews the conventional tie wire suspension system, eliminating high-frequency resonance and the need for damping materials.
