OREI EX-165C+: HDMI Extender over Ethernet (70m) with One way IR & PoC

- The maximum transmission distance via a single CAT6/5E cable is as follows:
CAT6: 230ft/70m for 1080p, 131ft/40m for 4K30
CAT5E: 197ft/60m for 1080p, 115ft/35m for 4K30 - Support copying EDID from receiver display or loop out display
- Allow for cascading via additional HDMI loop out port
- Support one-way POC functionality (from transmitter to receiver)

This HDMI Extender can extend high definition video/audio signal and IR control signal up to 230ft/70m for 1080p resolution, and 131ft/40m for 4K30 resolution via a single CAT6 cable, which can achieve zero-delay, uncompressed long-distance transmission
between the transmitter and receiver. This extender with HDMI loop output can be cascaded to the next extender, supporting resolution up to 4K@30Hz. It supports EDID copy function (you can choose local or remote EDID). It supports audio formats up to PCM7.1, Dolby True HD, DTS HD. This product can be widely used in multimedia conference halls, TV teaching and large-screen displays.

Yes, you will be able to get a signal beyond the mentioned distance but the quality of the video decreases with increase in the distance and that too when using with shielded CAT6 cable.

Both the ends of the CAT cable should be termed as EIA-568B & the cable should be straight & not crossed.

You can extend the display devices up to 400 Feet when using with a shielded CAT6 cable.
The issue might be with the CAT cable. This might be due to the external interference of the signals & CAT5e has low bandwidth as compared to the CAT6. We recommend you using shielded CAT6 cable.
If the power and link led lights does not illuminate on the RJ45 port of the transmitter and the receiver, then the transmitter & receiver might be dead.

You can upgrade the firmware by connecting the PC & this device via RS-232 cable.
Please note that this product only supports the CEC function between HDMI input & HDMI output 1.
No, optical output doesn't supports CEC due to its limitations. CEC will work only with HDMI devices.
HDBaseT is the technology used for long distance transmission of lossless signals, resulting extremely low latency & giving the best picture quality.
In normal extenders, if you extend your signals up to some extend, the quality of the signals will degrade & you may find some latency issues. HDBaseT is the lastest standard which provides extending your signals to the longer distance without degrading the quality of the signals & with 0 latency.
We recommend you using a shielded CAT6 cables for optimum performance.
Our all the extenders supports IR Frequency & the devices using RF frequency will not be compatible with our products.
The IR Blaster/Emitter should be connected to the IR out port on the Transmitter and the IR Receiver should be connected to the IR in on the Receiver.
